Aged Care

New staff qualifications

Congratulations to our 18 aged care staff who recently completed their Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead qualification.

As recently mandated by the Australian Government Department of Health, all residential aged care services must have a dedicated IPC Lead onsite – to ensure they are well prepared to prevent and respond to infectious diseases, particularly COVID-19.

Our IPC Lead cohort completed the challenging postgraduate level training in 11 weeks – the program typically takes 24 weeks. What’s more, they did so over the Christmas/New Year period.

To our 18 new IPC Leads – thank you all for the considerable time and effort you have put in to achieve this qualification.
