Aged Care

A handy addition to Immanuel Gardens

Handy

Now this is handy! Immanuel Gardens resident Richard, a former engineer by trade, has created a special trolley that allows care workers to bring multiple activities to residents in one go.

The cart is also motorised and features a flashing light as it moves, just for safety.

“It avoids the back-and-forth, and makes it easier for people to choose what they’d like to do,” says Richard.

The project is part of the Men’s Shed initiative, a not-for-profit organisation that fosters community and information-sharing between men.
